Microsoft releases updates monthly. These updates are reviewed and tested by the Help Desk, and then released to the University community.
Details / Instructions
Microsoft software and security updates will be required on all University PCs. Your University PC will be checked by our management server for updates once a month. If there are any updates available, you will be prompted to either install the updates or they will be installed by the deadline, usually being the third Wednesday of each month by 5:00 pm. You may postpone the restart for 90 minutes after the deadline is reached and updates are installing. If any updates are postponed, they will automatically be installed starting at the time indicated. For any updates that require a restart, you will be alerted and have 90 minutes to restart your PC to complete the installation.
