Overview
Specialty software is defined as software needed for a specific job function such as Web page development, document publishing, or high-end graphic design. Depending on the product, there may be a charge to your department.
All software loaded onto University computers requires a registered license number. If your department has purchased a software package, you are responsible for providing the proof of purchase and license number. This information should be provided to the IS procurement coordinator to be kept on file.
Any audit of the University of Richmond desktop computers by software manufacturers that results in the detection of non-business applications is your responsibility. Failure to produce legal copies of the license and media can result in the removal of the software from your computer.
