Android Email Configuration for Faculty and Staff


Instructions for how to access your O365 email account using the built-in email app on Android devices. 

Please keep in mind that the appearance of these steps may be different based on the device that you are using, however the general steps should be similar.

Details / Instructions

  1. Navigate to Settings > Accounts
  2. Select Add Account
  3. For the account type, select either Microsoft Exchange, Exchange Activesync, or Corporate. 
  4. Enter your full email address and network password. Tap Next
  5. If the configuration requires a manual setup, enter the information as shown below: 
    • Email Address: your address
    • Domain\Username: your address
    • Password: your network password
    • Server:
    • Use secure connection (SSL): yes
  6. When prompted for Remote Administration, tap Allow
  7. When prompted for changing account settings, toggle on/off the items that you would like to sync and click Next
  8. When prompted for Phone Administrator for Exchange, tap Activate
  9. Enter a name for how you want the account to appear in your email app, and then tap Done
  10. The email may take a few minutes to start syncing.
