Overview
Beginning May 25, 2021 faculty and staff will notice a new banner inserted at the beginning of an email message, if the sender is from outside the university.
Details / Instructions
The goal of this change is to help make you more aware of messages that are not from the campus community and that may be spam or phishing attempts. External messages are not necessarily spam or malicious in nature, but this new banner should serve as an additional reminder to use caution when reviewing the message contents.
To report an email that should not be marked as external please go to the How to Report Spam KB article and follow the instructions to forward the email as an attachment. Please forward the attachment to helpdesk@richmond.edu .
