Overview
If you have received a spam email, please report it first prior to deleting it. To report the email, it will need to be forwarded as an attachment. Please follow the instructions below and forward the spam email as an attachment to spam@richmond.edu. If you are not sure if an email you have received is spam or not, please contact the Help Desk.
Details / Instructions
Outlook on Windows
- Select the email in outlook.
- From the Home tab, click the More drop-down that's next to the "Forward" button.
- Select Forward as Attachment.
- This will open a new email message with the other email added as an attachment.
- In the TO field, enter the following address: spam@richmond.edu
- Click Send.
Outlook on MacOS
- Right-click or CTRL-click on the email.
- From the pop-up menu, select Forward Special > As Attachment.
- This will open a new email message with the other email added as an attachment.
- In the TO field, enter the following address: spam@richmond.edu
- Click Send.
Apple Mail on MacOS
- Right-click or CTRL-click on the email
- Select Forward as Attachment.
- This will open a new email message with the other email added as an attachment.
- In the TO field, enter the following address: spam@richmond.edu
- Click Send.
Once you have reported the email, please delete it.
