Instructions for how to access your Richmond Gmail account using Outlook for Mac.

Details / Instructions

  1. Go to Outlook Preferences > Accounts. 
  2. Click on "+" and select New Account
  3. Enter your Richmond.edu email address and click continue.
  4. If prompted with ‘Connecting to Office365’ Click Not Office365? at the top right corner.
  5. Select Gmail as the email provider for the account. A web browser window will open and you will be prompted to sign in with your NetID and network password. Once entered, click Login.
  6. Select your Richmond.edu gmail account from the list of Google accounts, and click Allow for Microsoft apps to access the account.
  7. If prompted with “Do you want to allow this page to open Microsoft Outlook?”, click Allow.
  8. You will get a notification that the account has been added. Click Done.
