Windows Mail App Configuration for Students, Alumni, and Retirees


Instructions for how to access your Richmond Gmail account using the Windows Mail app.

Details / Instructions

  1. In the Add an Account windows, select Google
  2. When prompted to enter an email address or phone number, enter your email address and then click Next
  3. You will be prompted with a University sign in window. Enter your NetID and Network Password and then click Login
  4. You will be prompted to grant access to your Google Account. Scroll to the bottom of the window and click Allow
  5. When prompted to "Send your messages using this name", enter your full name in the field, and then click Sign In
  6. The account will then be added to Windows Mail. Click Done to close out of the account setup window.
