Remove Wi-Fi networks from Preferred Networks list in macOS

Overview

The instructions in this article will guide you through removing Wi-Fi networks in your Preferred Networks list in macOS. This will prevent your Mac from automatically joining a specific wireless network.

Details / Instructions

1. Click the Apple Menu in the upper-left corner and select System Preferences.

2. Click Network.

3. Click Advanced.

4. Find the network you wish to remove in the list of Preferred Networks and select it.

5. Click the minus button to remove the network.

 

6. Verify the network has been removed from the Preferred Networks list.

7. Repeat the above process for any other networks you wish to remove.

8. Once you have finished removing networks, click OK.

9. Click Apply.

10. Verify your Mac connects to the correct Wi-Fi network.
