Overview
On May 9, 2022, Information Services will be performing the annual update to Blackboard Learn. This update will incorporate an entry page that features new and improved navigation. The new navigation is intended to have a more modern look and feel, and you should experience simpler workflows and easier access to important information. There will be no down-time associated with the update. Your courses will not change. They will look and operate exactly as they do now, but you will navigate to them in a new way.
How will this enhance your efficiency and experience?
- Modern, intuitive user experience. You and your students are going to enjoy this simple, intuitive, engaging user experience.
- Works well on mobile devices. This navigation is designed to work well regardless of which device you’re using.
- Aggregates important information. All your course and organization information – like calendar, messages and grades – is now consolidated into one global view, minimizing the time spent navigating into each individual course.
- Only one click away. See something that needs your attention? Just click on it and you will be taken directly there, minimizing clicks and saving time.

All of you courses will be listed in the default starting page, "Current Courses". To view only a single semester, select the Current Courses drop-down menu, and select the desired term from the list.
Courses can be made unavailable to students ("private") from the Courses page. To do so, select the "..." icon on the right side of a course row, and select Make Course Private. The option to make a course unavailable within the course itself still exists.
