Description
SPSS lets you run descriptive statistics, regression, advanced statistics, and other functions. Create custom charts, tables, and forecasting and decision trees.

Cost: SPSS is licensed for use on University owned computers.
Available To: Faculty and Staff. Students who need access to SPSS can access a free trial of SPSS through IBM.
Installation Instructions
University owned computers: If you would like SPSS installed on a University asset, please Submit a Ticket or contact the UR Help Desk at 804-287-6400 so that we can provision and license the software for you.
The SPSS license renews annually for University computers. If you already have SPSS installed and are being prompted for a new license, please contact the UR Help Desk if you use a Windows PC. For Macs, the latest versions of SPSS with current licenses are available to you in Self Service.
Student personal computer: Students who need access to SPSS can access a free trial through IBM.
- Go to: https://www.ibm.com/analytics/spss-trials
- Click on Try SPSS Statistics for Free.
- You will be prompted to enter information to create an account. Fill out all required fields.
- You will be sent an email to activate your account. Enter the code that is sent in the sign-up form. Click Create Account.
- You will then be able to download the trial for SPSS.
