Surveys

Service Overview

Institutional Effectiveness regularly administers surveys of students, alumni, faculty, and staff on behalf of the University of Richmond.  Survey results are used to inform strategic planning, evaluation, and decision making. Anyone wishing to conduct a survey involving any part of the university community should consult UR’s Policy on Surveys and Focus Groups (ACD-5301) and submit a ticket via SpiderTechNet.

IFX provides guidance on survey timing, frequency, and audience, as well as assesses redundancy with other surveys. Significant survey overlap, the last week of classes, course evaluation periods, and exam week must be avoided. Only approved surveys may be distributed through official University communications or via University-generated respondent lists.
