This article addresses the steps needed to request moves for faculty or staff from one office to another that are not part of a capital project involving the facilities department.

During the course of any academic year, if an office becomes available and current faculty or staff needs to move from one location to another there are several important factors to consider to make the move successful.
Things to consider:
- What Computer and phone equipment needs to move?
- What date does the move need to be completed by?
- Does furniture need to move out/in to the new space?
This article addresses the first two considerations. Please make your request as many days in advance as possible. We request a minimum of 3 days advance notice for a move. Emergency move requests will be handled on a case-by-case basis. The furniture consideration should be addressed by the customer with the appropriate UR Staff.
Steps:
1. Select the "Request a Move" form on the right.
2. Fill in all the requested information. You will receive a confirmation email about your request in a SpiderTechNet ticket.
3. A Help Desk technician will contact you to gather additional information regarding your move. Updated information will
be added to your SpiderTechNet ticket. (If necessary, the Help Desk will conduct a walk-through prior to the move)
4. The Help Desk will show up on the day of the move and move all computers, printers, and phone equipment from your
current location to the new location.
5. After the move, you will receive a follow-up message from your SpiderTechNet ticket.
