Students, Faculty, and Staff may install public printers following the instructions below.

Details / Instructions

  1. Download the attachment (pc-print-deploy-client[styx.richmond.edu].msi located in the attachment box located at the bottom right side of this window to your desktop.

  2. Locate the downloaded file on your desktop and double-click the file to install.

     

  3. Click Yes on the pop-up window

  4. Follow the prompts to complete the installation. 



     

          

 

         

 

  1. The PaperCut window will open. Enter your UR NetID to connect and install UR public printers. If you do not see this pop-up window, look for a printer icon in the Task Bar located in the lower right corner of your screen. Right-click to open the window.

  2. The Printer List will be empty. Before adding a printer, you need to know the printer name.  Check the label on the public printer for the correct printer name.

         

  1. Click Add Printers located on the right side of this window to add printers, locate the printer you want to install, then click install. (You may be prompted to authenticate if so use your NetID and password).

         

  1. Installed printers will show in the My Printers section of the PaperCut client.

         

  1. You can now print to your installed printers.  You can add additional printers at any time following steps 5 - 7.
