Details / Instructions

Access Requirements

Before logging into SpiderAI, ensure the following:

  • You must be connected to the University wireless network (urwin) or a wired network connection, or connected through VPN if off-campus.

  • You must have an active University of Richmond username and password.

How to Log In

  1. Navigate to SpiderAI
    Go to: https://spiderai.richmond.edu/

  • Authenticate Using Your UR Credentials
Enter your University of Richmond user ID and password.

  • Complete First-Time Account Setup
After your initial login, SpiderAI will automatically create your account and assign default permissions. You may also set optional profile preferences—such as preferred name or profile photo—for use within the platform.

Troubleshooting Login Issues

  • Not on urwin or VPN:
If you see an access error, confirm you are on the UR network. Off-campus users must connect through VPN.

  • Incorrect Credentials:
Ensure you are using your standard UR network login credentials.

  • Browser Issues:
Try clearing cookies or testing another browser if the login page fails to load. Also try your browser's privacy/incognito mode as that disables caching, cookies, and extensions.

If issues persist, you may submit a SpiderAI Support Request for support.
