Overview
By default, only Admins and Creators (Faculty) have access to download Panopto videos. Viewers can be given this access as required. Faculty and Admins have the ability, on a per-course or per-folder basis, to allow viewers the ability to download a video hosted on Panopto.
Details / Instructions
To get started, access your course through Blackboard and navigate to the Panopto Videos tool. From this page, you can change the download settings for your course folder or for an individual video.
To edit the download options for your whole course folder:
- In the top-right corner, select the gear/settings icon
- Select Settings on the left panel
- Change the Downloads Enabled drop-down to Authenticated Users with Access
- Students and other viewers of the course will now be able to download any video in this course folder
To edit the download options for an individual video:
- Select the gear/settings icon underneath the desired video
- Change the Downloads drop-down to Authenticated Users with Access
- Students and other viewers of this video will now be able to download it
