How to Reconnect to the urwin Wi-Fi Network After a Certificate Update

Overview

Because of the University’s annual wireless security certificate update, users may receive a prompt on their device to reconnect to the urwin wireless network.

This update occurs once each year and helps maintain a secure connection to the University network. If prompted, simply accept the updated certificate and reconnect to urwin.

Details / Instructions

If you receive a prompt while connecting to urwin, follow the instructions below for your device.

iPhone / iPad

  1. When the Certificate screen appears, review the certificate information.
  2. Tap Trust in the upper-right corner.
  3. Your device should reconnect to the urwin wireless network.

Mac

  1. When the Verify Certificate prompt appears, review the certificate information.
  2. Click Continue.
  3. If prompted, enter your Mac login password to approve the change.
  4. Your Mac should reconnect to the urwin wireless network.

Windows PC

  1. You may receive a Continue connecting? message displaying information about the wireless certificate.
  2. Confirm that you are connecting to urwin.
  3. Click Connect.
  4. Your computer should reconnect to the urwin wireless network.

Android

  1. The message displayed may vary depending on your Android device and operating system version.
  2. When prompted about the updated wireless network certificate, confirm that you are connecting to urwin.
  3. Select the option to Connect, Trust, or Accept, depending on the options displayed on your device.
  4. Your device should reconnect to the urwin wireless network.
