If you encounter problems receiving mail or syncing calendars on your mobile device you may need to delete your older UR email account settings and reconfigure.

Note: Removing your email account does not delete any email, contacts or calendar data from the email server.

How to remove email account from iOS Devices (iPhone / iPad)Show

Launch the Settings app
Scroll Down to Mail and select Mail
Select Accounts
Select Delete Account
If prompted whether you wish to remove additional information associated with this account (Contacts, Calendars, Reminders or Notes) from your device, select Delete.
Depending on the amount of data you have on your device, it may take several minutes for the deletion process to finish.
Once the account is removed you can re-add the account using the directions here for Faculty/Staff or here for Students, Alumni and Retirees (links open in new window).

How to remove email account from Android DevicesShow

Launch your Email application.
Open the Settings menu within the email app.
Select your University of Richmond email address.
Depending on the app you are using, tap Delete or Remove.
Depending on the amount of data you have on your device, it may take several minutes for the deletion process to finish.
