What Equipment Can Be Returned or Disposed Of?

  • Desktop computers
  • Laptops
  • Monitors
  • Docking stations
  • Keyboards and mice
  • Chargers and power adapters
  • Headsets
  • Webcams
  • Printers
  • External drives
  • Cables and other computer-related peripherals

 

How to Request a Return or Disposal

  1. Submit a Support Request through SpiderTechNet.
  2. In the request, provide as much information as possible about the equipment, including:
    • Type of equipment
    • Location of the equipment
    • Whether the equipment is being returned or needs to be disposed of
    • Any additional information that may help Information Services process the request
  3. Information Services will review the request and contact you with next steps.

 

Important Information

  • Do not place University-owned computers, monitors, storage devices, or other electronic equipment in regular trash or recycling containers.
  • University-owned equipment should not be given away, transferred to another department, or disposed of without following the appropriate University process.
  • Information Services will ensure that computers and storage devices are handled appropriately, including the secure removal of University data when required.
  • If you are leaving the University or changing positions, please include all University-owned computer equipment and peripherals that need to be returned in your request.
