LastPass Update: Android Autofill

Overview

As of July 28, 2026, LastPass will discontinue its legacy autofill functionality in favor of Android's built-in autofill, the same secure standard used across Android apps. 

What does this mean for you? 

If you have an Android device and use the LastPass app this may impact you.

At this time no action required for Apple users.

Details / Instructions

  1. Check your Android autofill settings.
    • In the LastPass app, you navigate to Settings > Autofill
  2. If autofill is already enabled, no action needed.
  3. Navigate to Settings > Autofill > Enable the switch marked "Turn on Autofill".
    • Of note, this change can be made at any time, before or after July 28.

* Users who prefer not to change autofill settings can still use LastPass on Android via copy/paste to fill credentials across sites and apps.
