Configure Canvas Course to Use Panopto
Overview
Panopto is a lecture capture tool with a built-in integration through Canvas, where videos can be shared easily with your students. All recordings are automatically uploaded to Canvas where you can choose how to deliver the videos to your students. Recordings can be created on-campus from classrooms with cameras or from your personal devices.
Each Canvas course will need the following one-time (per semester) configurations to integrate with Panopto:
- Log in to Canvas and open the course for which you want to use Panopto
- Select Panopto from the course navigation area on the left
If the Panopto video tool is not in your left-hand navigation, it may be hidden.
- Select Settings from the course navigation and then select the Navigation tab
- If Panopto appears in the bottom section, which hides items from students, drag-and-drop it into the course navigation area and then select Save
