Overview
SpiderAI uses a credit-based system to manage access to advanced AI models and tools. Each user receives a standard allocation of credits each semester. Credits are deducted as you interact with AI models, with usage varying based on model type and task complexity. This article explains how credit usage works, how to view your balance, and how to request additional credits if needed.
Details / Instructions
How Credit Usage Works
SpiderAI deducts credits automatically as you use the platform. The amount of credit consumed depends on:
-
The model you select:
Larger, more advanced models (e.g., ChatGPT 5 Chat) consume more credits.
Smaller models (e.g., ChatGPT 4.1 Mini) are more efficient and cost-effective.
-
The complexity and length of the task:
Multi-step reasoning, long outputs, and intensive tools will use more credits.
-
Tools you enable:
Tools such as Python or Web Search may increase the total credits required for a response.
Credits reset at the beginning of each semester. To view detailed pricing for each model and tool, go to:
My Account > Billing and click the pricing link.

-
Reserve advanced models for complex reasoning or high-stakes projects.
-
Keep prompts focused to reduce unnecessary token usage.
-
Disable tools you don't need during a session.
