Overview
In rare circumstances Windows 11 computers with an Intel 6E AX211 160MHz wireless adapter are not able to consistently connect to urwin.
Details / Instructions
This problem is identified by an X next to the name of the wifi network.
In this case it is necessary to change the wireless settings to use WPA2-Enterprise rather than WPA3-Enterprise.
Right click the network icon in the system tray and choose "Network and Internet Settings", on the next screen click "Wi-Fi"
On the next screen click "Manage known networks" and then select urwin.
-
Scroll to the bottom of that page and click 'edit' next to to "Advanced Wi-Fi network properties" and select the "Security" tab on the new window that opens.
Click the dropdown menu for Security type and change it from WPA3-Enterprise to WPA2-Enterprise and click ok.
This will resolve the issue until new wifi adapter drivers are realeased to address the issue. Currently the latest drivers are version 23.160.0.4 and were released on 7/21/25
