Support Status
macOS Ventura is currently supported on University and student Macs. Support is expected to last until the end of 2025.
Installation
If you are looking to upgrade macOS, we recommend upgrading to, macOS Sonoma.
If your Mac doesn't meet the hardware requirements for macOS Sonoma or you would prefer to install macOS Ventura, University managed Macs can upgrade via Self Service, located in your dock or the Applications folder on your Mac. For personal computers, you can find macOS Ventura in the Mac App Store*.
While macOS Ventura is supported for both University and student Macs, we suggest caution when upgrading to a new OS. Prior to upgrading, we recommend that you have a backup that you can restore your computer to if the upgrade fails. In addition, you should allow at least 45-60 minutes for the upgrade to complete, and do not restart the computer while the upgrade is installing, even if it appears to be frozen.
