If you were just given access to a public folder, you must restart your computer for the permissions to take affect.
Older versions of Outlook (2019/2021, etc):
- Click on the ellipsis icon at the bottom of the navigation section in Outlook. Select Folders.
- Scroll to the bottom of the navigation pane in outlook and you will see a section for "Public Folders". Click on the drop down arrows until you locate the folder that you are trying to access. It will usually be under Public Folders > Department Name > Inbox or Calendar.
Outlook 365:
- Click "More Apps" in the left-hand navigation bar
- Click "Folders"
- The "Folders" icon will now appear in the navigation bar, scroll to the bottom to find Public Folders.
- (Optional): To keep the "Folders" folder visible, right-click the "Folders" icon in the navigation bar and choose "Pin".
- Click on the drop down arrows until you locate the folder that you are trying to access. It will usually be under Public Folders > Department Name > Inbox or Calendar.
