Body
Overview
Requests for videotaping and technical support services for events, conferences, and non-academic meetings are offered as resources permit and are requested through the University Events Office http://events.richmond.edu
Details / Instructions
Requests to schedule a TMSS technician for AV assistance and/or videotaping services before 8:30am or past 5pm (including weekends and holidays) will be reviewed on a case by case basis to determine tech availability. Please be sure to contact TMSS at telecom@richmond.edu to confirm tech availability, prior to the meeting and/or event date.
Helpful information when planning for requesting TMSS videotaping services:
- A Videotape Consent Release Form is required by the University for guest speakers and should be submitted to TMSS, prior to the videotaping date.
- Please be sure to consider non-technical elements that may play a role in the quality of the video recording, such as the size of the space, the number of people attending, room lighting, and acoustics.
- Some campus spaces are equipped with sound systems that can be interfaced to ensure good quality audio. When a space is not equipped with a sound system, or if the system cannot be interfaced, the videographer will use the built in camera microphone.
- The TMSS group does not provide post production, or editing services.
- The videotaping will be processed into a Digital Video File and shared via Box, within one week of the videotaping date.
