How to reinstall Zoom for Windows 10/11

Overview

If Zoom is generating an error message, will not launch, or is not working correctly it may be necessary to reinstall it. You can use the directions below to uninstall and reinstall the Zoom software. 

Details / Instructions

Step 1 - Un-install Zoom

A) Right-Click your Windows Start Menu 

B) Click "Apps and Features".

C) Scroll down to find "Zoom".

D) Click "Zoom" and choose "Uninstall".

E) Wait for the uninstall to finish before proceeding to step 2 below.

 

Step 2 - Reinstall Zoom

A) Open your web browser (Chrome, Edge, Safari, Firefox, etc).

B) Navigate to https://urichmond.zoom.us/download#client_4meeting and login with your NET ID & Password if prompted.

C) Download "Zoom Workplace Desktop App".

D) Click "ZoomInstallerFull.exe" that downloaded to start the install. In some browsers you will see this near the top, in some browsers you will see this near the bottom. 

E) After the software is installed and Zoom launches, click "SSO"

F) Enter the domain "urichmond" then hit "Continue".

G) The University of Richmond authentication page will load, enter your NET ID and Password, after you authenticate Zoom will launch.
